Longtime eye and vision group leader dies

Joanne Angle, who was executive director of the Rockville, Md.-based Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology for 22 years, died of cancer March 8. She was 70. Angle Angle joined the $9 million-revenue organization in 1990, having previously worked as director of the National Health Information Clearinghouse and executive director of the Association of Teachers of Preventative Medicine.
